momcafé Event  -  How to be a Smart Ass

Our upcoming event, 'How to be a Smart Ass', is on Friday, June 13, 2008 at 9:30am

Smart Ass is a fabulous brand of women's lingerie headquartered in beautiful Vancouver, BC. Sold throughout North America, Smart Ass is the inspiration of two former marketing executives, Alix Cameron and Cindy Ball, or as they're now known, the Original Smart Ass Girls.

Disenchanted with the idea of going back to the corporate world, the Gals wanted to create a business that would build on their marketing skills, capitalize on the internet and give them the control and flexibility they needed to balance work and their busy family schedules.

Cindy and Alix have the magic touch when it comes to getting media attention for their sassy products. The Smart Ass story and product line have been featured in a multitude of glossies, dailies and websites, including The Province, The Globe & Mail, Flare, Parent Magazine, divine.ca, savvymoms.ca and Macleans.ca.

Their creativity, daring and talent caught the eye of Donny Deutch, the host of the blockbuster show “The Big Idea”. Donny interviewed our sassy gals for a segment entitled “Our Idea Will Make Millions”. Intrigued by the ‘World’s First Inspirational Gusset’, Donny asked for advice on how to get Smart Ass on more bottoms!

After three years at it, these "mompreneurs" can honestly say that while it's not easy to make it in the world of fashion, they are on their way to becoming a celebrated lingerie brand throughout North America. Best of all, they are still having fun!

These are two women who truly love what they do; they will share their fun loving and daring approach to business at the June 13 momcafé event. With sassy sayings printed on their fabulous products, such as -“you’re hot”, “sex pot” and “va va voom”, Cindy and Alix, who show unrivalled media savvy and a wicked sense of humour, are fearless marketers who will share their stories with momcafé.

Don’t miss it!
