Are you making your house and family toxic?
I don’t know about you, but my last science class was first year biology in university more than 15 years ago – so, no wonder I have no idea what chemicals are in our daily household cleaning products.
Until now, I’ve just relied on buying and using the household cleaning products that I recognize from my childhood. However, now that I’m cleaning the house with my two young children in tow, I’m once again interested in chemical toxins, environmental issues, etc. but without the knowledge of a chemistry major. I don’t want to make my children sick from the fumes and chemicals but I also want to make sure that I’m keeping our house clean from dirt and germs. I thought all was lost until Seventh Generation came out with a free application for our iphones and home computers to help us non-science moms figure out what’s in our cleaning products, good and bad. This has made my life a lot easier when buying cleaners for my family. Check it out at http://www.seventhgeneration.com/?source=press-release. Of course I’m still going to keep the cleaners locked up in a top shelf away from the kids, but at least I’m going to feel good again about cleaning my house knowing that I’m using products without toxins that will harm my family.
